Another wedding, another expense… am I right? As much fun as weddings are for guests and your wedding party, they are also very expensive. Your bridesmaids need to plan on investing in a dress, a wedding gift, a bridal shower outfit and gift, a bachelorette party and bachelorette gift, and travel expenses for all of it! Things add up VERY quickly. So, when you ask your best friends to stand by your side at your wedding, you want to try to make things as easy on them as possible. (You also want to make sure to get them an amazing bridesmaid gift to say thank you, but that’s another post.)
One way to make sure your wedding isn’t too much to ask of your bridesmaids is to make sure the dress you pick out for them to purchase is not only affordable, but also able to be worn again! That way the investment is worth it to them, and makes them love the dress you choose that much more. So, here are some ideas for bridesmaid dresses that they’re going to want to wear again, and that they’ll get the most bang for their buck.
The best way to ensure your bridesmaids will want to wear their dress again, is to let them pick it themselves! Create a mood board with the color scheme and feel you’re going for with a few examples of dresses that you like. They’ll be able to choose what they want, in the price range they can afford, and it’ll still look amazing on your wedding day. They could even rent a dress for the event from Rent the Runway if that works best for them. Or, a lot of bridesmaid dress brands offer different styles of dresses in the same color, so your bridesmaids can choose the one they are most likely to wear again that best fits their body type.
When your bridesmaid dresses are a skirt and a top, each piece is more likely to be worn again to another event even if they can wear the top again with jeans or the skirt with a different top to another event.
When a bridesmaid dress is short, it makes the dress a little more versatile for other events. If the dress is too formal, they will most likely have less formal events to go to where they might wear it again. But, if the dress is cocktail length, they are more likely to have plenty of events to wear the dress to again.
4. Neutral Bridesmaid Dresses (that aren’t necessarily from a bridal store.)
When you pick a dress that is neutral in color (like black or gold), and in style from Nordstrom rather than a dress from a bridal store, the dress is more likely to be worn to another event in the near future. A neutral dress is a lot more versatile for other events, rather than a pink or yellow. And, when the dress looks more like a cocktail or work dress rather than a bridesmaid dress, they will definitely be wearing it again.
These wrap style bridesmaid dresses are versatile because it can be worn in a million different ways to suit any event they want to wear it to. They come in any color you could possibly need for your wedding theme, and can be worn any way to fit your bridesmaids body types. Plus, they are extremely affordable (I’m talking $40 affordable!). A win win for bride and bridesmaids!
